Its DnD Basic for 5th Edition. What's not to love? Everything a player and a Dungeon Master need for the major archetypes of the game all the way to 20th Level.
That's pretty sweet.
And while it lets someone find out if the investment is right for them and their group, it leaves the door wide open for them to buy into the game.
