GameStorming: Running a World of Warcraft game with Blueholme Journeymanne

I've been wanting to run a game using an older edition of DnD and I've been thinking about running a game set in Azeroth with the players being part of the Horde.

I've recently gotten the opportunity to review Dreamscape Design's Blueholmes Journeymanne Edition Edited by Michael Thomas. I had been thinking of using BECMI's Orcs of Thar for the basis of the game but Blueholmes' approach to races works so well that I think it would fit much better.

I'm not looking to emulate the WoW classes in Holmes' Basic DnD, just run a game there. In my initial brainstorm I've contemplated running Keep on the Borderlands, actually, as I've never run it before. In this instance "the Borderlands" would be between the Horde and Alliance. Perhaps in this version of the story the Caves of Chaos are instead tainted by Demons of the Burning Legion or some site important to the machinations of Sargeras.

It's very much in the beginning phases and I still have a 5E game to finish running first.

I should have my review up for Blueholmes Journeymanne Edition up in a few days.

World of Warcrat: Ebonchill for D&D 5th Edition

Ebonchill
This greatstaff was wielded by Alodi, the first Guardian of Tirisfal. He bore the staff into many battles against Legion forces for the century in which he served as Guardian. When stepped down from the role he retained the staff until his death. Upon his passing, the Kirin Tor stored the staff safely away for fear of what might happen if a lesser mage attempted to wield its power without the ability to control it fully.

EBONCHILL
Magic weapon (quarterstaff), legendary (requires attunement)

• You gain a +3 on spell attack rolls with this quarterstaff.

• You gain advantage on spell attack rolls against fiends.

• You gain advantage on Intelligence (History) skill checks by accessing the memories of the Guardians of Tirisfal locked within Ebonchill.

• You gain a +3 on concentration checks.

• You gain resistance to cold and necrotic damage.

• As a bonus action when you cast a cantrip or a spell, you may deal an addtional 1d12 cold damage and 1d12 necrotic damage to a single target of the spell or cantrip being cast. After you use this ability 3 times, you must finish a long rest.

Their bodies are covered with armored hide and studded with bony spikes. A streak of flames runs down their spines from head to stubby tail. Savage Worlds of Warcraft: Faceless Ones

The n'raqi, commonly known as the faceless ones or the faceless, are a monstrous race that arose from the organic matter that seeped from the Old Gods' blighted forms during the primordial era of Azeroth. Cunning and intelligent, they serve their eldritch masters with fanatical loyalty.

The faceless ones were first seen serving a forgotten one in the depths of Azjol-Nerub during the events of Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. They made their first appearance in World of Warcraft with the second expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, and have since become one of the most common sightings in areas influenced by the Old Gods.
