Back This: Swords and Wizardry Rulebook 3rd Printing by Frog God Games

I saw that Frog God Games is Kickstarting a 3rd edition of Swords and Wizardry (which was instrumental in drawing me into the OSR, creating this site, and back into gaming) with an all female creative team.

I have three daughters and I was recently reminded how differently a woman may be treated in the workplace due to an experience my oldest daughter (she's twenty-six) had. It's hard to raise your kids to be the best version of them they can be and still run into medieval thinking in the 21st century. It's like a punch in the gut.

That is what made me decide to spotlight and back this project. That, and the fact that my twelve year old daughter is getting pretty into RPGs, Game Mastering, and monster creation and I think it would be cool for her to see what other women are doing in the industry.  Maybe Cross Planes will become a father/daughter operation one day? That would be sweet.

I will admit that I'm not to keen on this project's cover. Frog God Games is hoping this will be a more accessible printing for female and younger gamers, but I just don't connect with it. They say they don't want to do a "pink" edition, but for me the cover borders on that, mostly because of the color scheme.

You can back it here.
