Pacific Rim

I have high hopes for Pacific Rim.

While I'm not a huge fan of Guillermo Del Toro, I'm a sucker for giant robots.  And I'll say that if anyone in Hollywood could pull it off, it's him.

It would be great to see this project done right.  And I can't wait to see the Kaiju.

Maybe if this does well enough, he'll get a full budget for At The Mountains of Madness?

I read something a few weeks ago where he said there was probably no point in At the Mountains of Madness anymore, because Prometheus was so close to the same story.

From his blog/site:

That's a shame. I haven't seen Prometheus and don't when I will, and I can see it's connections to the Alien Universe being more palatable to audiences than Lovecraft, but it saddens me.
