Int 12    Wis 12     Cha 16

Bent's plan was to sell Homer, but talking pigs aren't easy to move. He finally dumped the pig on a farmer name Egar Brown. However, Homer noticed and commented that Egar was abusive to his wife Piper and daughter, Lora. This led to Homer being muzzled and Egar being willing take nearly anything to rid himself of the pig. Homer convinced Egar that eating him would cause an infection, which angered Egar further.

Homer can easily join the party after they stay the night in the Brown's barn seeking shelter from a storm.  Egar insists on trading nearly anything for the pig to be rid of him.

Homer is versed in history, local politics, and gossip (Ianna is a notorious gossip). Returning Ianna to him would make her both a capable contact and potent ally. Keeping Homer would essentially give the party a sage.

1,000 Faces: Augustus Candlecake

Augustus Candlecake is a very gifted Diviner who sponsors adventurers operating in Waterdeep and the Sword Coast.

Augustus's family own a successful caravan operation that operates between the Sword Coast and Cormyr, but even though he is the oldest, he's never held any interest in taking it over. For years, this cause him to butt heads with his father, Julius. However, his talent at arcane magic allowed him to become an apprentice for Edweena Thwent, a gnome Diviner of great renown who has a tower in the City of Splendors. Julius agreed to pay for his son's education in exchange for lending his skills in the operation of the caravan business.

Augustus voraciously learned from Edweena and within six years he moved on as her apprentice. His desire for praise and acceptance motivated his success, but know matter how much he received it was never enough. Deep inside,  he longed to be an adventurer and plunder dungeons, he face several obstacles: most people he interacted found him overconfident and obnoxious, he was squeamish, and he had a terrible case of asthma.

While he expected to hate working for his father, his divination gifts prevented their caravans from experiencing several prominent disasters that that competitors did not escape. He grew to enjoy the intricacies of detecting any obstacles and he and his father began to grow closer.

After several years, Augustus began researching the Cairn of Remin-Kar, a burial chamber reputed to hold a good deal of treasure but that was supposed to haunted by the Priest-King buried there. While Augustus had no interest in endangering himself, he began using his skills first to detect the Cairn and then to gain knowledge of it. After feeling confident that this was no more dangerous than a caravan route, he assemble a team of adventurers.
And his plans and warnings allowed them to easily to defeat the mummy and gain the treasure.

Soon, Augustus had another reputation, as a good lead to gain fame and riches plumbing dungeons, two of his first team, Egana Maramark and Stu Sugarhawk even took up membership in the elite Force Grey.

Today, Augustus is a very rich man and has little need for his role in the caravan business, which has infuriated his father and reignited old feauds between them. Generally, the adventurers who work with him don't last more than a few expeditions because of his personality, but his reputation assures those who work for him a very good chance at succes. Additionally, at this point he only charges 20% commission for his role. Thus far, only two expeditions have attempted to cut him out of their deal. In both instances he called in favors from previous adventurers to deal with them, splitting the cut 50/50 with them and leaving those who cheated very badly beaten and essentially blackballed from the Waterdeep adventuring scene.

Augustus is nervous, dresses extravagantly and has a large trophy room with items from each the expeditions he has sponsored. He is constantly explaining to people his mastery at divination and seems to delight at hinting about his awareness of things from their past that those who work for him don't want revealed. Due to asthma, he sneezes quite a bit.

Despite his talent and success he has an inferiority complex and will often create conflict when none is necessary and takes offense and innocent comments. This has led him to begin using a drug known as Shadow to calm himself, unfortunately, his supplier of Shadow is a member of the Xanthar's gang and he is actively ignoring the risks that brings to his life.

1,000 Faces: Sabrina and Serena Wollstonecraft

The Wollstonecraft twins are ambitious up and comers within the Contractor's Guild of Zobek. Their mother is Enchidna Wollstonecraft of Lem, Qent's most successful caravan magnate who has opened trade routes throughtout most of Tarth. Their oldest sister, Amarilla, went off to study wizardry at the Tower of Omens and Enchidna assumed her twins would want nothing more than to assume her place in the family business when she retired.

However, Sabrina and Serena despised their step-father, Piers Arliss-Wollstonecraft and their younger half-sister, Vyvian. Both women were always far more interested in stories of lost treasures and piracy, eventually found their way to Zobek and in the business of their uncle, Taurus Wollstonecraft, a moneylender who had ties to the Minerva crime family.

The twins were drawn to their Uncle's darker life, filled with violence, intimidation, and murder.  Eventually, a lover they shared named Norrin Dard, introduced them to the worship of Zehir and from there they used that thread to gain the access to the Contractor's Guild for the training they desired.

Rumor has it that the twins have deeply impressed Guild Master Yuanna Shadowspear and have continued to perform above expectaions for assassins of so little experience.

Sabrina (7th Level Human Assassin Rogue and 1st Level Sorcerer) is the quieter of the two, she notices everything and truly enjoys the kill. She believes that some strange heritage flows through the blood of her family and spends her downtime perfecting it. She is very close to their oldest sister and exchanges letters with her often.

Serena (8th Level Human Mastermind Rogue) is talkative and vivacious. She likes to be the center of attention and is always aware of the most recent gossip, a literal encyclopedia of who's who in both the underworld and high society. She is plagued by recurring nightmares of murdering her mother, which she has hidden even from Sabrina.

Both women are very loyal to the Guild Master and to their mentor Trok of Brimmen. While they learned the tenets of Zehir, they have no interest in the religious aspects of the Guild and therefore despise High Shroud Cedric, an old friend of their father who seems to always be keeping his eye upon the two women.

1,000 Faces: The Dahlia

The Dahlia (11th Level Human Mastermind Rogue) is the Guild Mistress of the thieves' guild known as the Web, and spy for Baroness Dionna Vivaldi. She operates out of the Butterfly Garden seamstress shop during the day and Miss Vivian's Finishing School at night. The Dahlia's identity is hidden behind her mask, a magic item that can only be removed by her own hand. She is known for being cool and calculating and is the Baroness's most trusted advisor. The Web is respected and feared throughout the realm, known for honoring it's end of any bargain and swiftly striking out against it's enemies.

The Web's membership is close to 30% women, as the Dahlia has been recruiting from the Finishing School where she offers her "girls" lives far more extraordinary than is average for the realm.

The Dahlia is really Annette Mosser, a former handmaiden and trusted friend of the Baroness since their youth. Several years ago, the Web was involved in plot to assassinate Vivaldi and she caught wind of it. She hired several adventurers to deal with the plot and in the aftermath, convinced Annette to fake her own death and take over the Web as the Dahlia. The Baroness knew that Annette was loyal, charming, and smart and trusted her to shape the guild into a tool that could benefit them both.

In the years since, Mosser has blossomed into an effective and efficient leader who has even won the respect of veteran thieves who survived her takeover.

The Dahlia is very careful in guarding her identity and has groomed several Finish School students to act as body doubles.

She is decisive and loyal, something that was originally foreign to many of the guild members, but a quality they have grown to appreciate. Mosser is realistic, however, and always has several contingency plans in place in case her agents opt for a "better offer".

Mosser was a devout worshiper of Pelor for many years, but after so much exposure to the darker side of life, has little respect for the Gods.

She is secretly in love with the Baroness, but is painfully aware that Vivaldi doesn't feel the same way. At this point in her life, she has not allowed herself any romantic entanglements, due to the dangers of her position.

She hates that even her parents believe she has died and her one weakness is keeping tabs upon them by taking several unnecessary trips near their home in the city.
