Review: Terror Planet of the Amazon Queen for Savage Worlds

I've been a fan of Savage Worlds since the beginning and deeply appreciate it's pulp roots.

While the cover for Terror Planet of the Amazon Queen caught me eye, it's description as a pulp adventure hooked me immediately.

I am familiar with GRAmel and own the Adventurers RPG, but hadn't picked up any of their Savage Worlds products. Well I was missing out.  The PDF is well laid out with attractive art.

The adventure simply grabbed me and I generally don't run published adventures. I am a very improvisation GM and kind of lazy at prepping, but even though the adventure is almost 25 pages long, once I started reading it, I couldn't stop.  Its well written and draws you in immediately. And on top of that, it just one helluva ride in the best traditions of the pulp genre.

The basic set-up is that you and your team (there are 4 pregenerated characters) are drawn into a mystery that leads through a portal to the Amazon planet. You explore the planet and it's Amazon civilization with a winding adventure that has you trying to thwart the nefarious plans of the amazon Empress.

Some set-up is given for the character and further adventures on the Amazon planet are explored, as well as rules for creating a member of the Amazon race (male and female).

This product was a fun read and I can't WAIT to run it.

I heartily recommend Terror Planet of the Amazon Queen.

You can find the PDF here.
