Hard Times in Jarlsburg: The Return of the Brotherhood of Bones and Teeth

Scheduling issues prevented a good portion of my Princes of the Apocalypse players from making it and I decided to run the Savage Worlds Lankhmar Test Drive (as I realized I hadn't run the system in about ten years and I want to be ready to run Rifts for Savage Worlds).

We had a great time and Lankhmar made me start thinking about Jarlsburg again.

The Brotherhood of Bones and Teeth have been quiet for the last few years, after failing their demonic queen, Ossory.  However, Lilian Whitehaven, whose husband is dying from syphilis, has  gained Ossory's notice by rebuilding the Brotherhood within Jarlsburg. 

Many of her new members are gained through her "charity work" at the Salvador Whitehaven Clinic, with the aid of Nurse Yolanda Ramirez and Doctor Tara Blevins. Together they have brought almost two dozen new worshipers into the service of their demonic queen. 

Both Ramirez and Blevins have been targeting certain patients and promising treatment through rituals to Ossory, including canibalism as their "final test" to see if they are worthy to be accepted within the Brotherhood. If they pass, it at this point that they are introduced to the "Ivory Priestess", Lilian's alias. Failure means they will be eaten as the next sacrifice.

Lilian directs the Brotherhood to keep tabs on Shemmy's Social Club -- Jarlsburg's Theives' Guild, find secrets to blackmail the rich and powerful of the city with, and to find the location of Esteban Del Noche's fabled Sanctum, underneath the city.
